Cindy Sherman – Works from the Olbricht Collection
Arguably one of the most important photographers of the late 20th Century, Cindy Sherman is not just a master of disguise but also a master at captivating her audiences.
What all began with her “Untitled Film Stills” (1977-80) series that thrust Cindy Sherman into the limelight has now further developed into a seminal body of work that spans over three decades. In the absolute admiration of Sherman’s work, me Collectors Room Berlin open its doors and walls to host the exhibition ‘Cindy Sherman – Works from the Olbricht Collection’. Consisting of 65 photographs that span throughout her entire photography career, Olbricht’s private collection of Sherman’s work is a well-rounded presentation of a leading photographer of today.
In 1995 I was contracted by mysterious photos of a New York artist, Cindy Sherman. 20 years later it is obvious that this infection is not curable, that I still have a great passion for Cindy Sherman’s brilliant art.
Exclusively for their Cindy Sherman exhibition the Me Collectors Room has developed an App using the iBeacon Technology which guides you through the entire exhibition. The App is free of charge and available for iPhones and Androids.
