Baloo Art Collection
A collection showcasing contemporary Polish and international art that explores identity, society, and the environment.

Baloo Art Collection is a collection of contemporary international art, with a strong emphasis on the work of Polish artists. It emerged from the passion of Mateusz Zybko and Robert Przybylski, and their curiosity about a world marked by tension, transformation, and uncertainty. The works assembled in the collection engage with some of the most urgent and profound concerns of our time: the climate crisis, armed conflicts, social and political frictions, and questions of identity – including the experiences of the LGBT+ community.
Baloo Art Collection is inherently interdisciplinary, encompassing spatial and site-specific works, installations, sound pieces, neons, sculptures, and objects, alongside two-dimensional media such as photography, painting, and drawing. The collection also features several video works, signalling a new chapter in the exploration of diverse artistic expressions.

While the collection addresses complex and unsettling subjects, it is imbued with optimism and a belief in the potential for change. Rather than a bleak chronicle of the posthumanist era, it offers a hopeful meditation on humanity and its relationship with the world. The creation of the collection is grounded in close relationships with artists – through dialogue, encounters, studio visits, and invitations to Malbork, where the collection is based. The works are presented not only within the private space of the collectors’ home but also in the garden and on the surrounding green grounds, which are open to local residents – creating a space where art, nature, and community converge.
Mateusz Zybko and Robert Przybylski believe that art is not merely a mirror of reality, but a catalyst for reflection on the future – and a potential source of insight and renewal for the world we inhabit.
