Guido Galimberti Online Exhibition
A collection entirely composed of multiples and artist books.
Multiples, whether they are sculptures, ready-made, graphics, artist books, sound recordings, follow the evolution of the arts since the first deflagration of the Sixties, tending to re-zero the object and then become established practice in all their forms.
The multiplied object becomes rare and often sought after, with many in the art world accepting the obvious oxymoron of the “original multiple” in common practice. Examples are evident, starting from “8 tavole di accertamento” by Piero Manzoni, or “Blu” multiples by Yves Klein, to the long sequence of multiplied objects (but “uniques” for their constantly differing manual workmanship) by Joseph Beuys. Also this is true for many other artists such as Man Ray, Alighiero Boetti, Alberto Burri, Lucio Fontana, Gerhard Richter, Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons. Here, Guido Galimberti shares some of his editions on IC.
