Conceived by Norwegian businessman and art collector Christian Ringnes for the C. Ludens Ringnes Foundation, the Ekebergparken is an electrifying place where art, history and nature come together.
Ekebergparken is open 24 hours a day and is located on a large plot that spreads over 255 acres and boasts beautiful views as well as wild woodlands. The sculptures found in the collection are representative of European art history of the last 130 years, and so far thirty-five sculptures and installations have been exhibited. Some of the artists included in the sculpture park include Auguste Rodin, Richard Hudson, Salvador Dalí, Louise Bourgeois, Marc Quinn, James Turrell and others. The C. Ludens Ringnes Foundation is also planning on expanding the collection over the coming years.
The combination of Ekeberg’s long history, beautiful nature and splendid sculptures offers members of the public a truly magical and unique experience.
