Known Unknowns

The major exhibition showcasing international artists, born between 1966 and 1990, all from the London Gallery’s private collection.

The title of the show draws references to the artists’ status in the mainstream, commercial art world – whilst the group is largely unknown, their respective practices are admired by their artistic peers and seen as leaders when it comes to breaking new ground.

Featuring a diverse range of art mediums including painting, sculpture, video and mixed media, the artworks deal with a wide-range of themes that investigate the visual conditions of contemporary life, looking at but not limited to the representation of the body in the age of the internet, the constant bombardment of images, and the ethics of viewing and voyeurism.

The artists included in “Known Unknowns”(21 March 2018 – 12 August 2018) are Tom Anholt, Francesca Dimattio, Maria Farrar, Chris Hood, Jill McKnight, Mona Osman, Ben Schumacher, Isobel Smith, Saskia Olde Wolbers, Alida Cervantes, Theo Ellison, Stefanie Heinze, Rannva Kunoy, Stuart Middleton, Kirstine Roepstorff, Tamuna Sirbiladze and Bedwyr Williams.

Here, we present artworks and installation views from the exhibition “Known Unknowns”  at the Saatchi Gallery.
