Named after the prominent Italian artist Mario Merz, Fondazione Merz, located in a former heating plant for the Lancia factory, is a cultural hub for Contemporary Art, hosting an impressive program of exhibitions, events, education-related activities and research into the arts.

The Fondazione Merz is presided over by Willy Merz, with the collaboration of an international scientific committee comprising of Beatrice Merz, Vicente Todolí, Frances Morris, and Richard Flood. The main focus is to house the permanent collection works by Mario Merz, preserving the artistic legacy of one of Italy’s greats, as well as making the work accessible and relevant to the public.

Here, we share installation views from the Foundation’s Mario Merz Exhibition “Nature is Equilibrium”, as well as works of Merz’s from the permanent collection.
